Summer Camp Policy

Every year Groningen Confucius Institute(GCI) organizes Summer Camp in cooperation with Communication University of China (CUC, Beijing). Summer Camp is financially sponsored by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban).

We would like to invite our non-Chinese students, who have studied Chinese at GCI at least 40 hours, aged between 15 and 30 years old, and have not participated in a visit to China organized by Headquarters to join this summer camp. The purpose of the Summer Camp is to learn Chinese and experience Chinese culture in China, enabling you to experience the realities of China. During this camp you will take part in Chinese language training and cultural tours and exchange ideas with teachers and students from China.

The costs of your study and stay will be covered by CUC and Hanban, while you need to pay international flights and visa application fee. A deposit of €150 is required by the registration, which will be refunded after the trip. Your deposit is non-refundable if you decide to withdraw from Summer Camp after the registration deadline.

Make sure you have read our terms and conditions about Summer Camp.
