The University of Amsterdam Business School in cooperation with Groningen Confucius Institute Amsterdam and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China - ICBC, offers a two-day masterclass Doing Business in Contemporary China to provide executives, business practitioners and entrepreneurs an understanding and insight in China’s contemporary business landscape, current and future business developments and opportunities for business in and with China.

About the programme

This masterclass on 23 & 24 November addresses a list of topics including Chinese business culture and tradition, the central role and involvement of government, the emergence and growth of contemporary entrepreneurs and their global firms and China’s companies’ global expansion (globalization) through outbound Chinese M&A.
The lectures will be given by China-experts at the Confucius Institute, ABS researchers familiar with China’s business and entrepreneurship, executives from Chinese firms, and case studies. In addition to the Master Class, a study trip to China may be organized. This trip will include company visits and seminars if a sufficient number of participants are interested in traveling to China.
