2020 Principals' Trip to China

Mission: To create an opportunity for leaders of Dutch education to gain more knowledge and better understanding on Chinese language and culture as well as the educational and social conditions of China, hopefully helping with their further establishment and development of Chinese language and culture programs at schools.

Date: March 21 - 29, 2020 ( to be adjusted)
Registration deadline: February 15, 2020 (to be adjusted )
Eligible applicants: principals, vice principals, directors/policy advisors of Ministry of Education
Sponsor: Hanban (Confucius Institute Headquarters)
Organizers: Groningen Confucius Institute &Globi
Co-organizer: Communication University of China
Cities to visit: Beijing, Hangzhou and Shanghai

The expenses regarding accommodation, local transportation, cultural visit and field study will be covered by Hanban. The participants need to take care of the flight fare, visa application fee and insurance. And 250 euro p.p. (excl.) is requested for the preparation work by Globi.

Program:

1. Visit Communication University of China (CUC): Including China Media Museum at CUC, Advertisement Museum and CUC or China Animation and Comic Art Museum.
2. Visit China mainstream media: China Radio International
3. Visit Hanban (Confucius Institute Headquarters): An introduction to Hanban's major projects
4. Visit one or two high-tech companies
5. Attend Teacher Forum Putuo
6. An exchange meeting with local education commission
7. Visit two Chinese primary/secondary schools
8. Cultural Experience: such as visiting the Forbidden City, the Bund, the West Lake, etc.
