Groningen Confucius Institute Team Contributed to Bed Talks in Groningen

On 29th of September, the Student Hotel in Groningen hosted Bed Talks, in which talks on assorted topics such as entrepreneurship and education went on between students and prominent local figures. This event attracted hundreds of students from Amsterdam, Groningen and other cities in Netherlands.

Groningen Confucius Institute was also part of the event. The Institute gave three workshops on mini Chinese lesson, calligraphy and tea ceremony. In these workshops, many participants showed great interest in the Chinese language and Chinese culture. Besides the workshops, Mrs. Jingyi Liu, Director of Groningen Confucius Institute was paired up with Kristina Preiksaityte (a member in the United Netherlands Delegation 2015-2016) and Dylan Ahern (an International Relations student from Amsterdam). Along with all the present students, they had in-depth talks on two themes, which are "increasing transnational understanding through cultural understanding" and "student life in China versus the Netherlands".

These activities in the Bed Talk hold by Groningen Confucius Institute allowed more people to have a further understanding of China and Chinese culture.
